Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that United Nations Organization and United Nations Security Council are of primary importance for the settlement of international law issues.
Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, commented the resolution of Russian authorities concerning determination of the status of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Thus, he stated: "Unfortunately, I predicted and made clear-cut statements that the conflict at the territory of Georgia was not a bilateral one. Secondly, the said conflict would have grave consequences for the geopolitical safety".
"We witness actual deviation from the regulations of international law. The said conflict engendered a chain of sequential actions related to "the frozen conflicts", - stated A.Yatseniuk.
"Therefore, solely United Nations Organization and United Nations Security Council have implicit right to adopt such resolutions. However, this rule failed to be observed in both cases", - stated the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
